cradle of filth, bleeding through, arch enemy, himsa @ the hob in hw
cold night in hollywood, standing in line for some thanksgiving black metal.as usual,it was packed with all the black metal,& goth kids waiting to get in,having said this i miss most of himsa, but the 4-5 songs i see them play rocked.next up were arch enemy, growly female vocals, and lots of anti-authority posing here.good solid set, they tore up leaving the square dancers to start a pit, they played all of their hits including we will rise.orange counties bleeding through came on next,& i have to admit my old skool metal heritage can sometimes get the best of me,but its taking a while to get used to the short hair metal scene.mohawks included.tight guitar work, solid drumming provided slammers with plenty of dance music.the bassist sang backing vocals with a mohawk, sporting a fear sticker on his axe, very interesting to say the least.the singer jumped around like a heathen at a harvest crusade, all the while their keyboardist banged her head while she banged the keys.not bad.the u.k.s cradle of fucking filth came on,sending the masses into a frenzy, dani goes plain nuts screaming for all he is worth, while the rest of thr band create a maelstrom of music that beckons the lord below.the set seemed a little short to me,and i was suprised to hear some of the songs done in their shortend state.good show overall, miss heavy devil metal for dec gave the gig 4 horns, and a big vampire grin \m/
